Jie HUANG

MSc student (Guangxi University)
2018- 2021
Graduated

I am currently a PhD student in Trinity College Dublin and Teagasc Forestry Development Department, and I am studying the genetic diversity of commercially important broadleaved tree species in Ireland and their resilience to invasive pathogens.

I did my Master degree in Ecology in the ecological genomics lab from 2018 to 2021, where my focus was on phylogeny, population genetics and distribution of potentially invasive mangrove species Laguncularia racemosa in China. My broad interests lie in to better understand biological invasion events in order to guide the management of invasive species and also to improve the tolerance of host species/community.
